The Abbey was created in 2002 when Justin Baptist Church outgrew its original facility, having stood watch at the corner of Jackson Avenue and 2nd Street since 1914. The trustees made the decision to sell the property and build a new church home on 8th Street. A local family bought the property, and in the spring of '02 transformed it into a remarkable wedding and events venue. The Abbey is proud to continue that role as a stately anchor

in Old Town Justin. Young generations of Justin's founding families have spoken their vows in the Abbey chapel, as have couples from the all of north Texas and beyond. They have dined and danced in the adjacent reception hall, and have enjoyed overnight stays in our guest houses. The Abbey is now a convenient North Texas destination for joy-filled weddings, fabulous parties, and all of life's cherished celebrations.
